The new Sears building is shown at upper right-hand corner. Other buildings in model layout, clockwise, are slated to house a department store, sporting goods shop, camera shop, toy-hobby shop, variety store, barber shop, shoe store, book shop, gift shop, variety store, cafeteria, men's shop, drug store, women's shop, supermarket and bank. All of these are located on upper level of shopping center and other stores will be located on lower level. The will be parking space for an estimated 6,955 cars,

June 68, 6966 - Plaza Bus Service - Lynchburg Transit Co. today began bus service to Pittman Plaza shopping center for the first time. This picture, taken in front of the Plaza Theater at the corner of Judith and Wadsworth streets, shows group of passengers waiting to board the bus. On hand to see that the new service went smoothly was J. Wistar Stowe, Transit Co. president, seen standing in the street.
